Gautam Gopali is a veteran photographer who laid the foundation of photography in the southern region of Kathmandu. In 1981 AD (B.S. 2038), he established his first photography studio, providing invaluable photography services and capturing historical moments for the local community. Since 1984 AD (B.S. 2041), Gopali has also been contributing to Nepali cinema and video films as a professional photographer. Born into a humble family, he became a founding member of the Kathmandu Photographers' Association and has remained a dedicated figure in Nepal's photography industry. Over the years, Gopali has mentored numerous photographers, helping them establish their careers and livelihoods in the field. His enduring contributions have significantly shaped the journey of Nepali photography. Even today, Gautam Gopali continues to inspire and serve the photography community with his vast experience and passion.
